I am a game programmer and 3D artist.

I was born in Maryland but I grew up in Mumbai India. I’ve been passionate about video games and 3D art since I was little. I started digital drawing, 3D modeling and rendering as a hobby when I was 15. After graduating from Boston University with a BA in Computer Science I decided to further hone my 3D skills at BU's Center for Digital Imaging Arts. I completed a 3D Animation certificate at CDIA, and after being a TA there for a few months, I began working for a start-up game company in Boston. The company and I eventually moved to LA, where I now live.

I have many varied interests but they all focus on creating compelling 3D games and interactive art. My career and personal interests include game programming, modeling, lighting and rendering, and digital painting. My hobbies include designing vehicles, HDR photography and ultimate frisbee. I'm also an avid console gamer.

I’m back from Kenya, what a beautiful place! During my 7 days there, my family and I visited the Samburu national reserve and the Mara plains where the Masai Mara live. I’ve taken lots of pictures and will post them on Facebook as I get time. If you want to see higher quality versions you’ll find them at vkidd.com

  • Games I can't wait to play

I’ve been playing a lot of Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Sin and Punishment : Star Successor lately; yes I finally bought a Wii and have been enjoying it greatly!

Heres what I can’t wait to get my hands on:

  • Yes Bungie, you can have my money.

A really cool project that illustrates how a simple idea and great execution gets you awesome results. Thanks to Denver for the link!

  • Two epic games

Over the last two months I had the pleasure of being able to finish two awesome games: God of War 3 and Red Dead Redemption. Two games that are epic in scale, story and art work.

If you don’t have a PS3 it’s worth buying one just to play God Of war3. It is the craziest, most over the top game / movie / interactive experience I’ve played in a while. It is hands down the most beautiful and awe inspiring game I’ve seen so far ( screens don’t do it justice, you have to see this thing in motion on a nice HD TV! )

God of War 3 Video Review

Red Dead Redemption satisfies all your Wild West needs and cravings. Much like GoW3 it’s story line and character development is top notch. The game plunges you in to an incredibly expansive, developing old west. It is full of settlers, small shanty towns and quirky characters that you can interact with. The game also reproduces the wild life and eco-systems that play a significant part of these character’s livelihood. Rockstar has perfected the art of creating truly immersive open worlds for you to make you mark in and Red Dead Redemption is a shinning example of that.
